Taneyhill Is The New Head Coach At Union County

Former USC Quarterback Steve Taneyhill: After seven years at Chesterfield where he built that program into a Class A power, Steve Taneyhill is taking over at Union County

(WLTX) --- After seven seasons as the head coach of Chesterfield High School, former USC quarterback Steve Taneyhill is taking over the program at Union County.

Taneyhill turned Chesterfield into a Class A power, winning 71 games in seven seasons, including three consecutive state championships (2007, 2008, 2009).

He inherits a Union program with a lot of tradition but of late, has not been as successful, winning just four games in 2011.

This will be a jump in classification, from single A Chesterfield to AAA Union.
